Zhou Qiang

Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group, President and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's CourtZhou Qiang, male, Han ethnicity, was born in April 1960 in Huangmei county, Hubei province. He began his first job in August 1976 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in September 1978. He studied civil law at the Southwest University of Political Science and Law. He holds a postgraduate diploma and has an LLM (Master of Laws) degree. He is the Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group, President and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court.He was a delegate to the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th CPC National Congress, a member of the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th CPC Central Committee and a member of the Standing Committee of the 9th National People’s Congress. He is currently a member of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
